Podcast downloader
Paste an Apple Podcasts link, an RSS feed or a show name and get every episode as the publisher's own MP3 file, with dates, lengths and a search box. No login, no app.
Works with podcasts.apple.com/…/id123… links, any public RSS feed, Spotify links for shows that also publish RSS, and show names.
Episodes belong to their publishers. Download for personal listening; ask before re-publishing.
4 steps, no signup
- 01
Paste a link or a name
Paste an Apple Podcasts link, a podcast RSS feed URL, a Spotify show or episode link, or just type the show's name.
- 02
Pick the show
The tool looks the show up in Apple's public podcast directory, finds its RSS feed and reads it. If several shows match a name, pick the right one.
- 03
Find the episode
Every episode in the feed is listed with its date and length. Type in the search box to filter by title.
- 04
Download the MP3
Press MP3 to open the publisher's own audio file, then save it. On a computer you can also right-click and choose Save link as.
Short answer: to download a podcast episode as an MP3, paste the show's Apple Podcasts link, its RSS feed or its name above and press Find episodes. Each episode gets a button linking to the publisher's own audio file, which you save from the browser. Paid, private and Spotify-only shows can't be downloaded because they have no public feed.
What this podcast downloader does
Podcast apps keep their downloads locked inside the app. The podcast downloader gives you the real file instead. Paste an Apple Podcasts link, a feed URL or a show name, and it lists every episode the publisher makes public, each with a direct link to the publisher's own MP3. You can save episodes to a laptop, keep them in an archive, load them into an editor for a clip you have permission to use, or play them in any audio player.
Many podcast downloader pages hide a paid converter behind the download button, or can't explain why some shows fail. This one is free and doesn't re-encode anything. When something won't work, such as a Spotify exclusive, a paid feed or a deleted show, it tells you why.
How it works
Almost every podcast is an RSS feed: an XML file the publisher keeps updated, where each episode carries an enclosure link to its audio file. Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts and most other apps all download from those links.
- Find the feed. For an Apple Podcasts link, the tool reads the show ID (the
id123…number) and asks Apple's free public iTunes Lookup API for the feed URL. For a name, it uses the iTunes Search API and shows the matching shows. - Read the feed. Podcast hosts don't let browsers read feeds from other sites, so this site's server fetches the public feed once and returns the episode list. It never passes the audio through.
- Link the audio. Each episode's MP3 button points straight at the publisher's file, the same file a podcast app would download.
Which links work
| You paste | Example | Works? |
|---|---|---|
| Apple Podcasts show link | podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/name/id1434243584 | Yes |
| Apple Podcasts episode link | …/id1434243584?i=1000… | Yes, the episode is highlighted when it's still in the feed |
| RSS feed URL | feeds.megaphone.fm/…, feeds.simplecast.com/… | Yes |
| Show name | planet money | Yes: pick from the matches |
| Spotify link, show also on RSS | open.spotify.com/episode/… | Usually: matched by name, so check the result is the right show |
| Spotify-exclusive show | Any | No: there is no public feed |
| Apple Podcasts Subscriptions, Patreon, other paid feeds | Any | No: private, account-only links |
| YouTube-only podcasts | Any | No: use the publisher's RSS feed if they have one |

Troubleshooting
- "This show isn't in Apple's directory." The show may have been removed from Apple Podcasts. If you know its RSS feed URL (often on the show's website), paste that instead.
- "Apple doesn't list a public feed for this show." Some shows on Apple Podcasts are Apple-hosted or subscription-only, with no public RSS feed to read.
- "That feed is private or password-protected." It's a paid or subscriber feed. Use it in your own podcast app.
- "That address returned a web page, not a podcast RSS feed." You pasted the show's website. Look for an RSS link on it, or paste the Apple Podcasts link.
- The Spotify match is the wrong show. Spotify links are matched by title, so similar names can collide. Type the exact show name instead and pick it from the list.
- The episode you want isn't listed. The publisher removed it from the public feed, or moved it behind a subscription.
- The download goes through a tracking address. Many publishers measure downloads through prefixes such as Podtrac or Chartable before the real file. That's the publisher's own link, and it ends at their audio.
A worked example
I typed planet money, picked NPR's Planet Money from the matches, and the tool read its feed at feeds.npr.org/510289/podcast.xml. When I checked, that feed held 355 episodes, newest first, each with a date, length, format and file size. Typing a word into the episode search filters the list by title. The feed URL sits under the show name with a Copy feed button, so you can add it to any podcast app.
What it doesn't do
- It doesn't convert anything. If the publisher uploaded M4A, you get M4A.
- It doesn't bundle episodes into a zip; you save them one at a time.
- It can't reach episodes that the publisher has dropped from the public feed.
- It doesn't transcribe. To get text from an episode that is also on YouTube, use the YouTube transcript downloader.
Copyright and fair use
Publishers put episodes in public feeds so people can download and listen to them, and that's what this tool does. The episodes still belong to whoever made them. Re-uploading a show, cutting it into your own videos or selling it needs permission. For quotes and clips, credit the show and link to it, and ask the publisher when you're unsure. This tool doesn't touch paid episodes, private feeds or DRM-protected audio.

Privacy
Lookups by link or name go from your browser straight to Apple's public iTunes Search API. A Spotify link is sent from your browser to Spotify's public oEmbed endpoint to read the episode title. The feed itself is fetched by this site's server, because podcast hosts block feed requests from other websites. Only the public feed URL is sent, and nothing is stored or logged. Audio downloads go directly from the publisher's host to your device. There's no account, no cookie and no extension.
